Wessex Water recently conducted a successful trial of Kight’s KV-6 temporary zonal site lights, illuminating both a large civil construction site in Saltford, Bath, and a smaller scheme site in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. The two-week trial featured two off-grid portable zonal lights, powered entirely by wind and solar energy, from Sunbelt Rentals.
The feedback from the workforce at both locations has been overwhelmingly positive. The site teams praised the lights for their excellent illumination and reliable performance despite dull, grey, wet weather and long winter nights.
The trial aligns seamlessly with Wessex Water’s sustainability goals, aiming for net-zero embodied carbon by 2030. Kight’s KV-6 lights not only emit zero carbon emissions but are also constructed from fully recyclable, durable materials that withstand the test of time. Their compact footprint and silent, fully off grid power solution make them a practical choice for remote locations, tight spaces and noise sensitive areas.

An eco-friendly standout, the KV-6 lights eliminate the need for external generator charging or on-grid recharging. The trial showcased the lights’ versatility, with multiple units efficiently delivered on a single vehicle.
